    H1N1 Vaccine Distribution Opened To All

Monday December 14, 2009 The Oregon Department of Health announced today that as of Monday December 14 counties may more widely distribute H1N1 vaccine to include healthy adults and people 65 years and older.

Although H1N1 vaccine is still coming in slowly to Deschutes County, an additional 4,200 does of H1N1 vaccine is being delivered to clinics and pharmacies.  The vaccine continues to be available for all priority groups.

There is no cost for the vaccine; however, pharmacies and clinics may charge an administration fee for thier services and can bill insurance.

For people without health service or pharmacy benefit access, Deschutes County H1N1 vaccination clinics will be helf by appointment by calling 541-322-7400.

   *Pharmacies can only provide vaccine to people 15 years and older
