Friday June 26 A group of concerned citizens, lead by Mr. Gerald Jansen has organized to file a petition for recall to be placed on the ballot of the next election. The decision to file for a recall was made after registered voters in the area were polled to determine how many would support the petition. It would appear that there are more than enough supporters to sucessfully the complete effort.
Thursday June 18, 2009- At the regular monthly Central Cascades Fire and EMS Board meeting held today Board member Diane Davidson was censured for releasing confidential district information as well as several other unauthorized and unethical actions. A second resolution was passed asking her to resign her position. She refused.
In February of this year Mrs Davidson resigned, under pressure, as a board member of the Diamond Peaks Home Owners associations. In April she was removed, without cause from the Board of COLVRT.
Mrs. Davidson is no stranger to politics or unfounded allegations. The following excerpt from the Mail Tribune would substantiates her proclivity for making statements that are not substantiated with proof.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009 COLVRT once again reminds everyone who does not have a reflective address sign, visible on your property to contact Brad Kahler at Central Cascades Fire and EMS, 541-433-2800 and leave a message. You will be notified when your sign is ready to be picked up. COLVRT has made and distributed these signs in our community for several years, and continues this project. The signs are $7, but if you also need a post from which to hang your sign, there is an additional $7 charge.
The Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal developed a model program to help local fire departments plan and conduct their own community door-to-door smoke alarm program. The goals of the program are to educate residents on the importance of maintaining their existing smoke alarms and to install battery powered smoke alarms in homes without working smoke alarms.
Through a grant, Central Cascades Fire and EMS received enough alarms to supply our district. Newer neighborhoods, such as Diamond Peaks were not canvassed because homes built there are newer and were required, by code, to have smoke alarms installed when built.
For those who were not at home, door hangers were left giving the fire department’s phone number and a brief description of the campaign. Return visits will occur because some homes and cabins are still inaccessible due to snow. The next step, along with continuing to revisit homes, will be to make appointments to install smoke alarms. There is no cost to the resident to receive alarm(s), however contributions to CCF&EMS are always welcome. For additional information or to make an appointment to have your home surveyed for smoke alarm needs residents are encouraged to phone the fire department at 433-2800.
